sudaka orientation scenic experiments
ECOS, is a research and experimentation project conceived by the artist in which she investigates artistic practices in the territory of Abya Yala (America) that discuss the axes: colonial invasion, military dictatorships and the political-social present.
With this project, he has already participated in two artistic residencies, taught three workshops, held meetings and gave lectures. He also developed the photo-performance series: "Readings on days of isolation"(2020), "Levante!"(2021). He performed the following performances: "Panfletária" (2021), "We will write 528 times" (2020), "Monumento à Guerrilheira" (2021) and "Manto Aberto sobre a alma" (2019). He also created the video performance "Actions without a lexicon of freedom" (2020) which received an award at Itaú Cultural (SP) and was included in the schedule of Circuito Municipal de Cultura (MG).
Echoes are sounds that resonate in a certain space and time. Echo carried by the wind. A word that repeats itself endlessly. Like a drum and a maraca, echo is what resonates.

Monument to the GUERRILLA, an infiltration into everyday life, an ephemeral action to rescue our history, so that we can learn from those that came before us. A living statue, because we are alive, being the seed of each other and of so many women. Anti-colonial manifesto in legitimate-defense. To those who came, to those who are and to those who will come.

There are facts that we need to repeat tirelessly, until someone understands, until it enters the mind, until it crosses the body. There are facts that are transformed into something else, a concealment of the truth in favor of a heroic game, an attempt to soften and put "warm cloths" in front of history.
October 12th is celebrated by many as the date of the discovery of America. From here, we salute the 528 uninterrupted years of indigenous resistance on our continent. Because we know that there was no discovery, what happened and is happening here is something else.
She goes to the fair carrying a 30-meter roll of brown paper. 30 meters is also the length of the caravels that ended up here due to a navigation error. This roll is entirely open on the sidewalk of the fair, in front of the sale of indigenous crafts. She turns on a speaker and listens to entire albums by several indigenous MCs while writing, along with others, 528 times on paper over the course of five hours: "It wasn't discovery, it was invasion, genocide, ecocide, destruction."
At the end of this writing, he rolls up the brown paper, goes up Avenida Álvares Cabral and delivers all the material produced to the Consulate of Portugal in Belo Horizonte. Our letter is not about finding, but about claiming history.

In this series, the artist creates masked self-portraits using different materials. The series is an imaginary escape produced in her home during the COVID-19 pandemic in which the artist relates the work of an artist with some reading of articles, texts, dramas and stories that she was reading at the time. This work was published on the artist's Instagram and, there, she told a little about the relationship she perceived between the works and authors in question.
